LVL ENHANCE LASHES FAQ'S

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The treatment can take approx 1 hour 15 minutes. This includes consultation time and tinting of the upper & lower lashes. The effects are instant.Many clients comment what a relaxing treatment it is to have, some even fall asleep. Jen provides a comfortable & professional set-up in a relaxing environment so that you can unwind and wake with longer looking lashes.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE SHIELD IS FOR ME?

As a general rule, the smaller the shield, the more intense the lift. So, if you wanted a dramatic look or have very short lashes, then a small shield tends to be selected.

Medium shields are suitable for clients with;

Heavy upper eyelids, thick coarse lashes, or clients planning on having lash extensions or strip lashes as small shields may lift the lashes too much making them difficult to apply.

Large shields are suitable for clients with long lashes seeking a soft lift or relaxed look.

WILL LVL DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

Unlike a traditional lash perm, LVL Enhance straightens your natural lashes at the root, creating the appearance of longer, thicker lashes.

The rollers used in a lash perm tend to make the lashes curl back which makes the lashes look shorter.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO PRIOR TO TREATMENT?

A patch test is required no later than 48 hours before your appointment.

Please inform Jen prior to your treatment if you are undergoing any medical treatment or on any medication to ensure your suitability.

This treatment will not be carried out on pregnant or breastfeeding ladies or those under 18 years of age.

Please do not wear waterproof mascara for 24 hours before & if you have had a spray tan you need to ensure the colour guide is washed off.

Please don’t wear any eye makeup on the day & avoid applying oily products to your lashes or eye area.

Eye contacts must not be worn during treatment.

WHAT AFTERCARE IS THERE?

Don't get lashes wet for 48 hours.

Avoid steam for 48 hours. Tips - don't have the shower too hot, be aware of steam/heat escaping from the dishwasher, kettle, oven & irons.

Avoid touching lashes, no spray tans, sunbeds and no mascara on your lashes for 48hours.

Best results - Use an oil free eyemakeup remover and water based mascara for the duration of your lifted lashes.

Suitable eyemake up removers are; Nouveau Lashes Lash & Lid Foaming Cleanser, Nouveau Lashes Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, Simple Kind to Eyes Makeup Remover . Check out this link for water based mascaras.

IS LVL ENHANCE LIKE A LASH PERM?

The gentle product formulations by Nouveau are carefully manufactured & tested to prevent any damage to your natural lashes. Their 10 years of lash lifting has given them the expertise to reassure you, you're in great hands.

Jen has many clients who get this done all the time, when keeping up with this treatment you will need to use the conditioning serum by Nouveau on your lashes as it would be like tinting your hair and not looking after it with conditioner, overtime it would cause them to become dehydrated but with the serum, they remain your natural normal lashes just lifted.

HOW LVL ENHANCE LIFTS YOUR LASHES

Your treatment will begin with a consultation, your lashes are then thoroughly cleansed, however it is highly recommended to arrive with no eye makeup on.
Depending on the look you want for your lashes, there are 3 size of shields that can be used.
Treatment pads will be applied to your lower lashes to prevent any of the products from getting to your lower lashes. The selected shield will then be applied to your eyelid and your lashes will be lifted back and bonded onto the shield as shown in the picture. Please note your eyes will be closed for the duration of the treatment. A series of products are then applied to create the lift.

Towards the end of the treatment, Jen will also tint your lower lashes which is generally not included in LVL Enhance treatments but Jen does this inclusive in the price as who would want tinted top lashes and not bottoms. 😉

Results last 6-8 weeks.
For best results it is advised to use with the Lash and Brow Conditioning Serum by Nouveau. Jen and her regular LVL clients can personally recommend it, as they have seen a noticeable difference with the condition of their lashes. Jen always has these in stock.
